A defining moment or favorite onstage experience: I was a soloist in Hungary closing out a concert with the Arizona Choir from the University of Arizona. I remember waking up that morning with absolutely no voice. The solo was written as a tour de force for tenor, accompanied by choir and piano. (I will lift up mine eyes - Hailstork). Although I had performed it before, I was still pretty scared that nothing may come out when I started singing, due to my busted voice that particular day. I was able to turn it around and “rally” to give one of my personal best solo performances ever. I was greeted by the audience with a rowdy Hungarian standing ovation. It was a personal victory, and a great moment.
What are you listening to these days?: Fritz Wunderlich, Radiohead, The Doors, Jussi Bjoerling, Frank Sinatra (Live at the Sands), Placido, The Pav, and Pink Floyd
Anything you’d like to add about yourself?: I can kind of Pop and Lock (It’s not pretty anymore, but I had skills in 5th Grade)
