Do you make your living as a musician? Yes. I have also been teaching voice for 20 years.

If so, where else do you gig/teach/conduct/sing/perform? I sing with the chorale and teach voice at Pomona College.

Where else do you sing NOW For 15 years I was the soloist at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. I am now retired from a solo church job but do soprano subbing whenever called upon.

Recent solo roles or guest appearances: I was the soprano soloist for the Los Angeles Bach Festival for 15 years. I have sung solo with the Fairbanks, Alaska Symphony in the Mozart Requiem, the Messiah with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the St. John Passion with the Sacramento Symphony.

Recordings/TV/Film: : I have sung on films such as Waterworld, Intersection, Twister, First Knight, Independence Day, to name just a few.

Highlights of your musical career: I sang with the St. Cere Festival of Music in Southern France; with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony

Favorite choral work: Carmina Burana, Bach B Minor Mass, Brahms’ Requiem

A defining moment or favorite onstage experience: Singing Gretel in Hansel and Gretel my senior year at Oberlin Conservatory. Singing solo in the Poulenc Gloria at Pomona College.

What are you listening to these days? ? I am hooked on YouTube and finding recordings of great singers, like Renee Fleming, Leontyne Price, and Jussi Bjoerling.

Anything you’d like to add about yourself? During these years of active singing I was also a football Mom for ten years. Those were great years but I am still confused about the game. One of my accomplishments is teaching my Maltese to sing and match pitch.
