Listen Up! pre-concert conversations
Music Director Grant Gershon and KUSC's Alan Chapman offer pre-concert conversations before our Sunday concerts. Listen Up! provides concertgoers with an in-depth perspective into the music to be performed by the Chorale that evening. These discussions often include guest appearances by featured composers, performers and guests. Listen Up! begins one hour before each concert in BP Hall at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

At the Chorale: host of Listen Up! pre-concert conversations
The day job: Classical KUSC from 5–9am Monday–Saturday, and Sunday at 8pm as host for Thornton Center Stage
Also at Disney: Regular speaker on the Los Angeles Philharmonic's "Upbeat Live" pre-concert series.
Previous assignments: former professor of music at Occidental College
His children's opera Les Moose: The Operatic Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, commissioned by the Los Angeles Opera, premiered in 1997.
