Program

Described as "an overwhelming experience" (Chicago Tribune) and "brilliantly effective" (New York Times), Voices of Light merges the legendary 1928 silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc with a live musical score composed by Richard Einhorn. In 1981, long after having been thought lost to a warehouse fire, a perfect copy of the original film was discovered in a janitor's closet of a Norwegian mental institution. After its prompt restoration, the film quickly climbed its way up to the critics' list of the top 10 greatest films ever made. Einhorn's music adds a powerful, haunting backdrop to this cinematic masterpiece.

Note: The film will be projected in two locations and visible from every seat in the house.
