Ariel Quintana, Assistant Conductor
Born in Libertador San Martin, Entre Rios, Argentina, Ariel Quintana, the assistant conductor of the LA Master Chorale, is an accomplished musician who graduated from the Universidad Adventista del Plata with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and then earned a Master’s Degree in Music in Piano Performance from the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires. In addition to being an outstanding conductor, Quintana is also a composer, arranger, singer, teacher and pianist. Quintana was a member of LA Master Chorale in the mid-1990s.
In December 2000, LAMC premiered his Hodie Christus Natus Est at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Ariel serves as the Director of the Cathedral Choir at Hollywood Presbyterian Church and is currently finishing the Doctoral Program in Conducting at the University of Southern California. His teachers include Dr. William Dehning, Dr. Morten Lauridsen and Dr. David Wilson. He maintains a busy schedule with rehearsals, classes, teaching at choral workshops, adjudicating choral festivals and composing.
