Johann Sebastian Bach | St. John Passion
A MINUTE WITH THE MAESTRO!
Hear the Music Director tell you about this concert!
One of the greatest masterworks of all time, Bach’s St. John Passion, is being performed for the first time in Walt Disney Concert Hall. Following the highly acclaimed St. Matthew Passion in 2010 – a purely musical epiphany – you will now hear the earlier and more vivid and dramatically intense St. John Passion on Palm Sunday weekend. With 40 singers and period instruments in a historically informed performance in the superb acoustics of Walt Disney Concert Hall, this surely will be another standard-setting performance of this pinnacle of the choral repertoire. Expecting this concert to sell out early, we added a second performance so more can experience this masterpiece.
