In September of 2001, Grant launched his opening concert with the great English composer Thomas Tallis’ massive motet Spem in alium. English choral music is one of our most cherished traditions and it has been an important part of the Chorale’s repertoire, so Grant chose to focus on a survey of music from across the pond to allow you, the audience, to be immersed in some of the high points of this incredibly rich legacy.
